The Pharisees came forward and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. He sighed from the depth of his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Amen, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” Mark 8:11-12

The Pharisees were consistent in being insistent. Asking Jesus for a sign. Testing Jesus for a sign. But rather, Jesus points them to a direction – no sign will be given. No miracles will be performed. No wonders will be conducted.

The Pharisees seek sign. Jesus seeks faith. The Pharisees trails a wrong route. Jesus points to the right route.

How many times we have insisted in following our own way yet find no life?

We walk in our own selfishness. Jesus showed us how to be selfless, He died on the cross.
We run our own pointless race. Jesus showed us how to start and finish the race He has set before us.
We drive our own lifeless lives. Jesus showed us there’s no dead end with Him at the driver’s seat.
We travel the easier roads. Jesus showed the road towards life is narrow however He is there to carry us.
Yet we are still lost. Jesus makes sure we are found.

Jesus points us to His direction. He keeps us on the right path. When we divert from the way, Jesus prompts us. When we forget the direction, Jesus reminds us. When we are hard headed and follow our desires, Jesus quickly rescues to save us from destruction. When we are at the crossroads, Jesus keeps us straight ahead. Jesus’ hope is we reach our destination He has prepared for us.

Jesus is God’s Positioning System (GPS). Follow Him.
